SpinSponsor advertiser terms
Version 2026-10-24
1. Who we are
SpinSponsor is run by SecAI Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 17387103), registered office Anglo Dal House, 5 Spring Villa Park, Spring Villa Road, Edgware, Middlesex, HA8 7EB ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].
These terms, together with our ad policy, apply when you advertise on SpinSponsor. SpinSponsor is independent and is not made, endorsed or supported by Anthropic.
2. Who can advertise
2.1 Advertising is by invitation, and only for businesses (including sole traders) acting for their trade or business. By opening an advertiser account you confirm this.
2.2 An account is either an advertiser account or a developer account, not both. You must not earn from your own ads through another account.
3. Where your ads appear
3.1 Ads appear inside Claude Code while it works, on the machines of developers who have installed the SpinSponsor Mod:
- a line: "Sponsored:" followed by your text, in place of the spinner text in the terminal;
- a card: "Sponsored", your headline, an optional second line and a link button, in one of our preset colour themes. It appears above the prompt in the terminal (where the whole card fits) and in the Claude desktop app.
3.2 We choose which format each screen shows. There is no targeting by person, interest or behaviour.
3.3 Each ad (including its edited versions) is counted at most 20 times a day per developer, across all their machines. We do not promise any number of views, clicks or results.
4. Pricing and billing
4.1 You set a price per 1,000 line views (CPM), at or above the minimum shown in the portal.
4.2 You pay for:
- each valid line view: your CPM divided by 1,000;
- each valid card view: half that amount;
- each valid click: the click price shown in the portal, on either format. A click counts at most once per view, and only within 10 minutes of a valid view.
4.3 A view is valid when the developer's Mod reports that the ad was on screen for at least 5 seconds while Claude was working, and the view passes our automatic checks. We pause view counting while a pop-up box the Mod detects is open, while Claude waits for a command to finish, and, for a background command (one left running while Claude carries on) that Claude Code tracks, until Claude Code tells the Mod it has ended. If Claude Code does not track a background command, or does not tell the Mod about them, we pause for two minutes. That two-minute pause can end while the command is still running, and Claude Code can take time to tell the Mod that a tracked command has ended, so counting can stay paused after it has ended. Some prompts and background activity go undetected (for example a program that a command starts and leaves running on its own), so a view may still be counted and charged for while the ad is hidden. We can't confirm that a person looked at it. We don't charge for anything shown while ads are switched off, or for views our checks reject.
4.4 Charges come out of your prepaid credit as they happen. When your credit can't pay for another view, your ads stop.
5. Credit and payment
5.1 You buy credit in advance by card through Stripe Checkout, from £20 per payment.
5.2 Credit is added only once Stripe confirms the payment.
5.3 Credit never expires and is not refundable, except under section 11.3 or where the law requires.
5.4 Prices are in pounds sterling.
5.5 If a payment is disputed or refunded through your card provider, we may freeze your unspent credit and pause your campaigns until it is settled. We then remove the amount that went back to your card. If that money was already spent on valid views and clicks, you still owe it.
5.6 We are not yet registered for VAT, so we don't charge VAT. Once registered, we will add VAT where it applies and tell you before it starts.
6. Your ads
6.1 Every ad and every edit is reviewed before it runs. We may reject or stop an ad that breaks our ad policy or the law, and we will tell you which rule.
6.2 An edit creates a new version that goes back to review. Your approved version keeps running until the edit is approved.
6.3 You can stop an ad at any time. It leaves screens within about a minute, and is not charged after it stops.
6.4 You are responsible for your ads and the pages they link to. You confirm that they are lawful, accurate and yours to use, and follow our ad policy.
6.5 You give us a licence to show, store and copy your ad content as needed to run SpinSponsor.
7. Reports
The portal shows your views, clicks and spend, and lets you download them as CSV. Please tell us about any error within 30 days, so we can still check it.
8. Your account
8.1 Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity on your account by you or by anyone you let use it.
8.2 You can delete your account yourself once no credit is left and no payment is under review. With credit left, contact us.
9. Suspension
We may pause your campaigns or suspend your account if you break these terms or the ad policy, while a payment is under review, or to protect developers or the service from harm.
10. Liability
10.1 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
10.2 Otherwise:
- neither of us is liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill, or for indirect loss;
- our total liability in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in that period.
10.3 You will cover our reasonable losses from claims by others that your ads or linked pages break the law or someone's rights, unless we caused the problem.
11. Changes and ending
11.1 We may change these terms or prices with at least 14 days' notice by email. Charges already made are not affected.
11.2 You can stop advertising at any time.
11.3 We will refund your unspent credit if we close SpinSponsor, if you don't accept a change under 11.1 that materially affects you and you close your account within 30 days of our notice, or if we close your account when you haven't broken these terms.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
