SpinSponsor developer terms

Version 2026-10-24

1. Who we are

SpinSponsor is run by SecAI Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 17387103), registered office Anglo Dal House, 5 Spring Villa Park, Spring Villa Road, Edgware, Middlesex, HA8 7EB ("we", "us"). Contact: [email protected].

These terms apply when you sign up as a developer, install the SpinSponsor Mod and earn from ads. Our privacy notice explains how we use your data.

SpinSponsor is independent. It is not made, endorsed or supported by Anthropic. Your use of Claude Code stays governed by your own agreement with Anthropic.

2. What SpinSponsor does

While Claude Code works, the Mod shows one labelled ad: a "Sponsored:" line in place of the spinner text, or a "Sponsored" card above the prompt where it fits. We pay you 50% of the revenue from valid ad views and clicks on your machines.

The Mod never reads or sends your prompts, code or files, never starts Claude activity of its own, and does nothing if your organisation's settings or network block it.

3. Your account

3.1 You must be at least 18, live in the UK, a European Economic Area country, the United States, Canada or Switzerland, and give a real email address. If you move to another country, tell us: we may not be able to pay you there.

3.2 An account is either a developer account or an advertiser account, not both.

3.3 You can have up to 3 machines linked at once. Each machine gets its own install key. Keep keys private, and revoke a machine from your dashboard if a key may have leaked.

3.4 You are responsible for activity on your account and machines by you or by anyone you let use them.

4. Fair use

You must not:

  1. create or inflate views or clicks: scripts, loops, prompts or tools run to make Claude work for the sake of ads, click farms, or clicking your own ads;
  2. change, hide or work around the Mod's checks, labels, timing or limits, or send us made-up events;
  3. use more than one developer account, or share an account;
  4. use SpinSponsor where your employer or organisation does not allow it.

Some checks run on every event, and events that fail them are not paid: for example too-short or too-old views, more than 720 views an hour from one machine, or more than 20 views of the same ad a day across your machines. Other checks look for unusual patterns: machines active almost all day, unusual click rates, many accounts on one network, or sudden jumps in views. These only raise a flag, and a person reviews it before we act.

5. Earnings

5.1 You earn 50% of the advertiser spend (excluding VAT) on valid views and clicks on your machines. The split is fixed. Payment fees come out of our share, not yours.

5.2 Earnings vary and are not guaranteed. They depend on advertisers, how much you use Claude Code, and how often each ad may be shown. Some days there may be no ads.

5.3 A view counts when the Mod reports that the ad was on screen for at least 5 seconds while Claude was working. We pause view counting while a pop-up box the Mod detects is open, while Claude waits for a command to finish, and, for a background command (one left running while Claude carries on) that Claude Code tracks, until Claude Code tells the Mod it has ended. If Claude Code does not track a background command, or does not tell the Mod about them, we pause for two minutes. That two-minute pause can end while the command is still running, and Claude Code can take time to tell the Mod that a tracked command has ended, so counting can stay paused after it has ended. Some prompts and background activity go undetected (for example a program that a command starts and leaves running on its own), so a view may still be counted and paid for while the ad is hidden. A long-running background command that Claude Code tracks, such as a development server, can keep ads, and your ability to earn from them, paused for the rest of your session. After the Mod is reloaded (for example after an update), ads stay off until you restart Claude Code. A click counts once per view, within 10 minutes of it. Your dashboard shows what you earned.

5.4 We can switch ads off at any time (for example after a Claude Code change). Nothing shown while ads are switched off is paid.

6. Pending earnings and payouts

6.1 New earnings stay pending for at least 30 days. A daily update then makes them available.

6.2 You can request a payout once your available balance is at least £10. Payouts go through Stripe Connect Express: you must complete Stripe's identity checks and accept Stripe's terms. Payouts go to a bank account in your country, in its local currency; Stripe converts from pounds sterling. Conversion and cross-border fees come out of our share.

6.3 Until 6 months after launch, a person checks each payout over £100 before it is sent.

6.4 If an advertiser's payment is disputed or refunded, we may hold earnings that came from that advertiser until it is settled.

6.5 If we find that earnings came from activity that breaks these terms, we may cancel them while they are pending or available, or ask you to repay them if already paid.

6.6 We will email you at least 14 days before changing the threshold or the pending period. Changes apply only to earnings made after the change.

7. Tax

You are responsible for your own tax on what you earn. We do not deduct tax. Stripe may ask for tax details and may report payouts to tax authorities where the law requires.

8. The Mod

8.1 We try to keep the Mod working with new versions of Claude Code, but Claude Code changes can stop ads or the Mod working. When the Mod can't be sure it's safe, it falls back to the normal spinner. This doesn't affect your legal rights.

8.2 You can turn ads off, uninstall the Mod, or revoke a machine at any time.

9. Ending your account

9.1 You can delete your account from the dashboard at any time, except while a payout is in progress.

9.2 When you delete it, your available earnings are given up straight away, and your pending earnings are given up as they mature. Request a payout first if your balance allows it.

9.3 We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms. If we close it for fraud, your pending earnings are cancelled and returned to advertisers as credit. Payouts already made are not reversed automatically but may be recovered under 6.5.

9.4 We may close SpinSponsor, or stop serving your country, with 30 days' notice by email. If we do, we will pay out available balances of at least £10 and, where we can, pending earnings once they mature.

10. Liability

10.1 Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

10.2 Otherwise, our total liability to you in any 12 months is limited to the greater of £100 and the earnings we paid you in that period. We are not liable for lost earnings caused by ads being unavailable, Claude Code changes, outages or Stripe, unless we caused them by breaking these terms.

11. Changes

We may change these terms to reflect changes in the law, our service, our providers or costs. We will email you at least 14 days before a change that affects your earnings or rights. If you don't accept it, you can stop and keep the earnings you made before the change, paid under section 6.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts deal with any dispute. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
